Who started Tour de Cure?
The organisation was founded in 2007 by Geoff Combes, Samantha Hollier-James and Gary Bertwistle. In 2017 the founders were co-nominated for the 2018 NSW Australian of the Year award. They organised the first Tour De Cure Signature Tour, embarking on a fundraising bike ride from Brisbane to Sydney with 29 other riders.

From humble beginnings in 2007, the Tour de Cure community has grown to become a national movement of thousands of people, walking, running, riding and swimming to raise awareness and inspire support in the fight to cure cancer.

Can you have 4 cancer CBA?
Can4Cancer is a CommBank Staff Foundation community initiative with Tour de Cure that raises vital funds to support researchers working towards curing and preventing cancer. In 2019 over 4,000 people joined one of the Can4Cancer events across Australia and collectively raised over $2.75 million!
Can for Cancer bike ride?
Can4Cancer is a 3 day ride through the picturesque Illawarra region that raises vital funds & cancer awareness along the way. The Can4Cancer Ride is the opportunity to spend 3 days riding through the picturesque Illawarra region before returning back to Sydney.
