What is a leash plug?
A leash cup, also known as a “leash plug”, is an indentation in the deck of the board close to the tail that contains a small metal bar that a short cord can be girth hitched to for attaching a leash.
How do you make a leash loop?
Making a leash rope is real easy.
- Cut the paracord to length. Cut your paracord to about 12″-14.” Longer or shorter depending on leash/tail/rail saver size.
- Burn off ends of rope. Use a lighter to singe off and seal the ends of the cord.
- Loop the cord.
- Tighten the knot.
- Put the leash rope on your board.

How long does it take to install a leash on a board?
