What is ZFS Resilver?
When a device is replaced, a resilvering operation is initiated to move data from the good copies to the new device. This action is a form of disk scrubbing. Therefore, only one such action can occur at a given time in the pool.
How do you remove a disk from a Zpool mirror?
To detach a device from a mirrored storage pool, you can use the zpool detach command. For example, if you want to detach the c2t1d0 device that you just attached to the mirrored pool datapool, you can do so by entering the command “zpool detach datapool c2t1d0” as shown in the code example.
What is Resilver priority?
The Resilver Priority menu allows you to schedule when a resilver can become a higher priority for the system. This means scheduling resilvers when the additional I/O or CPU use does not affect normal usage. Go to Tasks > Resilver Priority to configure the priority to a time that is most effective for your environment.

Is ZFS faster than RAID?
RAID10 has an enormous advantage against the mirror vdevs here—but only because the dataset is mistuned. Despite recordsize mistuning, ZFS mirror vdevs drastically outperform RAID10 on 4KiB sync writes.
Why is ZFS pool suspended from a failed device?
I run zfs on a LUKS device hosted on a single USB-device. The device failed (probably bad cable/connection, because the disk reads fine on another machine).
How to reproduce zpool destroy with suspended Io?
Steps to reproduce: create a zpool with single disk (zpool create zp1 /dev/sda) remove the disk zpool status shows disk unavailable insert a new disk zpool replace zp1 /dev/sda /dev/sdb it says “cannot replace /dev/sda with /dev/sdb : pool I/O is currently suspended” The above steps holds good for zpool destroy as well.
Why is zpool not supporting AFAIK use case?
Note that your use case (live pool with non-redundant top level vdev plus the disk backing that vdev being offline) is afaik currently not supported apart from reconnecting the original disk (including the data on it) to continue.
When do I need to replace a vdev in zpool?
One thing to keep in mind: replacing a non-redundant vdev of a pool needs to be done while the data on it is still available – else the data can’t be copied, like in your example where you pulled the drive. Our use case is we don’t use ZFS raid but a single drive per pool, since replication factor is taken care at gluster volume.
