What order should I read the robot series?
Isaac Asimov suggested reading order:

Does the complete robot include I Robot?
There are three “robot” collections, “I, Robot”, “The Rest of the Robots”, and somewhat later (’76) “Bincentennial Man & Other Stories”. “The Complete Robot” includes the stories from all three. Except, in ’86 Asimov repackaged the robot stories in two volumes, “Robot Dreams” & “Robot Visions”.
Which Asimov should I read first?
I suggest starting with The Caves of Steel, which is a really well-written murder mystery as well as a sci-fi portrayal of the future. If you liked it, read the sequels The Naked Sun, and The Robots of Dawn. Then, if you want more about robots, the I, Robot stories.

Is Isaac Asimov worth reading?
Worth the read? Definitely. My first Asimov book was an omnibus with the first three Foundation books, and I try to re-read them once every 1 or 2 years. I really like the short story structure of the first few books, makes it a good read if you are busy with life.
Should I read prequel first?
The prequel doesn’t have the same payoff, the same inside jokes, or even the same love and adoration if you read it first. Reading the prequel first leaves readers at a disadvantage. They don’t come at it with the same reactions, or the same sense of anticipation.

Should you read prequels first?
You should read the book series in the order that they were published. It’s much more fun to read the main book first and meet a lot of characters and afterwards learn more about the background of the characters. If you read the prequels first, that sense of mystery that every new story you start has is gone.
