Re: Cymbal Sets: Zildjian A or A Custom? A customs have more of a ping attack to them, whereas the Avedis have more of a wash. Both lines are relatively the same brightness, but the way that they respond makes one sound a little higher or darker than the other, in my experience(I own both lines).

Their a bit too washy and not really the sound I’m looking for but I have played a lot worse. Overall this pack is worth every cent and the savings from buying these cymbals individually can’t be beat. If your ready to buy a higher end set of cymbals then I would definitely recommend the A customs.

The A series is much brighter than the K series, so for rock I would recommend the A customs. It’s sound is better suited to rock, and you may as well save a couple hundred dollars while your at it.
