You can enter Park Guell for free. It is the only Park Guell’s monumental zone, which forms 5% of the park, that is access controlled. The monumental zone is access controlled because most of architect Antonio Gaudi’s work is in this part of the park, and it is what tourists pay to see.
Is Parc Guell worth it?
Yes, but in our opinion, it’s necessarily not a must-visit, mostly because of the location which makes a visit a little time consuming for what you will see. Park Guell was designed by Antoni Gaudí so if you are a big fan of Gaudi then it’s worth visiting.

Is the salamander part of Park Guell free?
It only covers 10% of the total park area; it’s the most famous part with the salamander and the mosaic benches. The rest of the park is free, and you can catch a brief glimpse of the city park or enjoy a nice view of the city of Barcelona, including the Sagrada Familia by Gaudí and the Montjuïc.
Where is the main entrance to Park Guell?
The main entrance of Park Güell is located on the south side of the park. There are porter’s lodges (1901-1903) on both sides of the iron gate (from Casa Vicens ). Both buildings are characterised by beautiful roofs, also covered with the typical mosaic work.
