Can you go swimming at Wadsworth Falls?
Enjoy hiking or biking the varied trails of the park or spend some time enjoying the beautiful falls. For a longer stay, visit the designated swimming and picnic area of the park. Please note that swimming and picnicking are prohibited at the Big Falls – it is an area intended for short visits to view the scenic falls.

Today, the Park contains 598 acres for passive recreation and is adjacent to the Meriden Municipal Golf Course. Located in the northeast corner of Meriden, the trails connect to the Mattabessett Trail (a Connecticut Blue-Blazed Trail) and are open to the general public.

Our kids loved being able to swim up to and climb around and behind the waterfall. We also hiked down river to check out the covered pedestrian bridge.
