Access: The main park entrance is located on Route 157 in Middletown, near the Middlefield line. Additional parking is available for the Big Falls on Cherry Hill Road off Route 157. Pricing: Weekdays: Free. Weekends and holidays: free for CT vehicles; $15/out-of-state vehicles.
Can you go swimming at Wadsworth Falls?
Enjoy hiking or biking the varied trails of the park or spend some time enjoying the beautiful falls. For a longer stay, visit the designated swimming and picnic area of the park. Please note that swimming and picnicking are prohibited at the Big Falls – it is an area intended for short visits to view the scenic falls.

Today, the Park contains 598 acres for passive recreation and is adjacent to the Meriden Municipal Golf Course. Located in the northeast corner of Meriden, the trails connect to the Mattabessett Trail (a Connecticut Blue-Blazed Trail) and are open to the general public.

Our kids loved being able to swim up to and climb around and behind the waterfall. We also hiked down river to check out the covered pedestrian bridge.
