What is Cyklonova?
Cyklonova is a medicine that reduces bleeding. Cyklonova contains tranexamic acid which inhibits the enzyme that dissolves clotted blood (clots). This leads to less blood loss. Cyklonova is used for heavy menstrual bleeding.
What is cyklokapron 500mg used for?
This medication is used short-term in people with a certain type of bleeding disorder (hemophilia) to prevent and reduce bleeding from having a tooth pulled (extraction).
How do you take cyklokapron for heavy periods?
Menorrhagia: Recommended dosage is 2 tablets 3 times daily as long as needed for up to 4 days. If very heavy menstrual bleeding, dosage may be increased. A total dose of 4g daily (8 tablets) should not be exceeded. Treatment with Cyklokapron should not be initiated until menstrual bleeding has started.
Is cyklokapron safe?
Cyklokapron is not expected to be harmful to a fetus. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant during treatment. This medication can pass into breast milk and may harm a nursing baby. Do not use this medication without telling your doctor if you are breastfeeding a baby.
How long should I take cyklokapron?
Take two or three tablets every 8 hours, for six to seven days. Swallow the tablets with water. Take two or three tablets four times a day for four days. Start taking the tablets when you first notice the bleeding.
What are the side effects of tranexamic acid tablets?
The more common side effects of tranexamic acid include:
- nausea.
- diarrhea.
- stomach pain or discomfort.
- vomiting.
- chills.
- fever.
- severe headache (throbbing)
- back or joint pain.
Is period blood impure?
People need to know that menstrual blood is not impure. Just like blood from any other part of the body, once out, this blood too starts decomposing and thus emanates an odor. During periods women are at greater risk of urinary tract infections due to dampness.
