How do I avoid DHL brokerage fees?
If you have some spare time, you can avoid the brokerage fee with couriers other than Canada Post by going to the Canada Customs office in person and paying the GST or duty levied. Private couriers cannot refuse to let you self clear if the package is valued at Cdn $2,500 or less.
